Ben McC. Leadership

As I learn about the Holocaust, my world view begins to change. I have been harshly reminded of the grave power of mankind. Humanity is like an unstable boulder; even a slight nudge could cause it to come crashing down. After my studies, I feel that I can more firmly understand the past so I can better avoid such things in the future. I find it interesting how much faith is placed in God, for on many occasions, when God was unpleased, he simply annihilated all of humanity. In the place of the, I would have believed that He was displeased and causing the Holocaust as a way of cleansing his slate.

Learning such things has made me question mankind’s ability to rule safely. But if we cannot rule ourselves, then who can? Many turn to God, asking him to lead us. But God will wipe us out if he is displeased. Indeed, many gods do not treat kindly those who do not agree with them. Alas, I can not suggest a perfect ruler, for that would come close to solving all the problems of the world.
