The End of Genocide

Throughout the time in studying the unbelievable events of genocide we see images of massacre and examples of evil that represent the core meaning of genocide. We saw more of these acts of evil in the Holocaust Museum which went into great detail telling the public what happened underneath the mask of the World War II. We have learned about these event for one reason alone. To stop them from happening again. This is very important because even Elie Wiesel said "Silence encourages the tormentor, never the tormented. Sometimes we must interfere"(118). We have seen so much despair and suffering in the movies we have watched or the documents we have read to think that this should and will not happen again. Unfortunately, it still happens and the only way we can stop this from happening is if we get involved, whether that be with the government, organizations or even in a single person. If we know something is horrible and inhumane, than we as a people have to stop it from happening. To put an end to genocide and mass murder. To put an end to so much suffering and agony. To truly say that genocide will never happen again.

  1. Hayden,
Very well written. I completely agree with everything you have stated about the inexplicable pain the Jews had to go through during the marches. Well done Hayden!
