Birkenau

Fire
Look at the flames
From a tall chimeny to the black sky
SS man machine gun trained on us
We march ranks of five
Like cattle into the slaughterhouse
Small faces of children
Burned to ashes
Burned to a cinder
Turned to smoke
Thoses flames that consumed my faith
I was face to face
With the Angel of Death
That murdered my God
And turned my dreams to ashes
I shall never forget
We had arrived in Birkenau

  1. Hello Mia, I liked how you said I was face to face with the angel of Death. To me it seemed creative in how you put that in that form of writing.

  3. Dear Mia This Poem is amazing, I do not know how you did this but this is awesome. I really liked stanza 13 and 14 about the angel of death murdering god (Not the actual part about murdering god) but it is a great poem line and it is really powerful and it makes me think about what that could symbolize. Really good job!! -Carter
