Courage

Courage!
Just a few more hours.
The running,
I could not bear the excruciating pain.
Sweat was running down my back.
I gave up.
We all gave up.
This was the end.
They had orders,
Orders to shoot.
Death was settling all around me.
I needed something.
Courage.
Courage is what I needed.
That was all I needed.
A prayer formed inside me.

A prayer to God.

  1. Max,
Your writing is very unique. I was able to in a way feel the pain that the narrator expressed through the writing. Great job and keep up the good work!

  4. Max,
All your phrases blended together really nicely. It felt like I was almost there in the book in those moments. Great job overall.
