Eloa

By: Liz Armstrong
Eloa

Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
Waaaaaaaa
She’s
She’s
The tears built a wall around my eyes
I was blinded
Then the tears start to rain down
They start to rain down on this poor infant
I am drowning in my own tears
And my innocent baby girl drowning with me
She does not deserve this
she is so
Beautiful and full of life

The world is spinning my head is spinning
Round &
Round &
Round
There are so many questions I want to ask
Why is Eloa’s head so small
Would she walk
Talk
Grow taller
Be able to see
But
There is one question
I
Would
Never
Want
To hear
The answer to

A soft knock on the door
Wakes me from what I thought
Was a nightmare
A nurse
Is slowly moving towards me
Before she could speak
I asked where my Eloa is
She hesitates before speaking
Then she gives me
An answer
The answer

In heaven
