The experience of genocide is very hard to picture oneself having to go through. The Holocaust museum as well as night really stated what it was like to be in the Jews shoes as well as how faith and hope for yourself and others was one of their best weapons to survive these horrendous death walks."I knew he was running out of strength, close to death, and yet I had abandoned him.(106)" A new open mind of mine was found in the process of learning about these genocides and it really kept me wondering. Could i survive? would I believe in myself like Ellie did? I highly doubt and hope that a genocide situation like the Holocaust breaks out, but if it ever did I must always remember to stay calm and just keep your faith that you will make it and that you will be back home sooner rather than later.

Very well written I agree with you completely, and think you had a lot of very good points
ReplyDeleteHi Ian!
ReplyDeleteThis was a great final post! I really agree with you when you said, "Faith and hope for yourself and others was one of their best weapons to survive these horrendous death walks," because it is completely true! All these people had left was their faith in God and hope that he would get them out of the camps and away from the SS. I also hope that nothing even close to the Holocaust ever happens again. This was an awesome post, and great job!
